21 Sep 2026
A cozy fall dessert filled with cinnamon-spiced apples, tangy Alovitox Golden Berries, and a golden oat topping. Alovitox Yacon Syrup adds a rich, caramel-like sweetness and makes a delicious finishing drizzle.

Serves: 6
Prep time: 15 minutes
Bake time: 35–40 minutes
Ingredients
Apple filling
- 5 cups peeled and thinly sliced apples
- ½ cup Alovitox Golden Berries, roughly chopped
- 2 tablespoons Alovitox Yacon Syrup
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Pinch of sea salt
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch or arrowroot powder
Crisp topping
- 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- ½ cup almond flour or all-purpose flour
- ½ cup chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of sea salt
- ¼ cup melted coconut oil or butter
- 2 tablespoons Alovitox Yacon Syrup
To finish
- Extra Alovitox Yacon Syrup
- Optional: yogurt, whipped coconut cream, or vanilla ice cream
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease an 8-inch baking dish.
- Combine the apples, Golden Berries, Yacon Syrup, lemon juice, vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, salt, and cornstarch in a large bowl. Toss until evenly coated.
- Transfer the apple mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it into an even layer.
- In another bowl, combine the oats, flour, pecans, cinnamon, and salt. Add the melted coconut oil and Yacon Syrup, then stir until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apple filling.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, until the apples are tender, the filling is bubbling, and the topping is golden. If the topping browns too quickly, cover it loosely with foil.
- Allow the crisp to cool for 10 minutes. Finish with a light drizzle of Yacon Syrup.
- Serve warm on its own or with yogurt, whipped coconut cream, or vanilla ice cream.
Fall tip: Save a few Golden Berries and chopped pecans for garnishing each serving. Their golden color makes the finished crisp especially festive.
